Hello new friends! For those of you I have not met, my name is Tylir.

Yoga has been a part of my life for a very long time, and has always been a practice that I followed philosophically and physically.
From my very first time at a yoga class as a kid tagging along with my parents to the YMCA, to exploring my own practice as an adult–one thing has always been clear to me: yoga is life changing.
As someone who has lived most of my life struggling to manage chronic illnesses like POTs, Dysautonomia and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, I have always struggled with prioritizing movement in my day-to-day life.
Many times, going to a group yoga class was inaccessible to me for one reason or another. One thing I found was many yoga teachers were not informed about these illnesses, or how to guide someone with hypermobility through a yoga practice.
And so Bend Not Break Yoga was born! I realized that in order to expand my personal practice I needed to continue my yoga education on a deeper level. While I never intended to become a yoga teacher, I saw the need for teachers who have lived experiences with chronic illnesses who could help their students develop a practice of their own.
I hope to create a space for others that makes yoga more accessible and inspire those who want to embark on a journey of discovery through practicing yoga.
Thanks for joining me here, and I hope to see you on the mat!
